Uncharted Waters: H-CAN Arts Advocacy Virtual Exhibition

H-CAN Arts Advocacy is excited to announce UNCHARTED WATERS, our first virtual exhibition, to be held September 15, 2020 through September 30, 2020.

We are living in UNCHARTED WATERS--a political, social, ecological, and biological maelstrom unlike any we have experienced before. How did we get here? How will we navigate our way through? And where will we land when we do? Visual artists, musicians, writers, and performers are invited to submit works that reflect upon our current moment from a personal perspective or explore what it means for our collective humanity. Deadline for entries: 11:59 PM, Sunday, August 23.

Select entrants will be asked to participate in the program for our online opening reception, Thursday, September 17.

Eligibility & Submission Guidelines

  • Open to all residents of Southeastern PA, age 18 and over.

  • All media welcome. Original work only.

  • Submissions will be juried for acceptance by the H-CAN Arts Advocacy team.

  • You may submit one or two images, videos, or text documents, but only one may be selected for exhibition.

  • This is an online exhibition. Work must be submitted as hi-res digital image(s), video (2 min max) or Word doc/PDF. Writers can choose to submit their work as text and/or recorded readings.

  • Sale of work is optional. (This may take the form of selling original work, prints of work, CDs or audio files, books, etc.)
