Delaware County Sheriff

The Office of Sheriff in Pennsylvania is a constitutional office and each of Pennsylvania's 67 counties has a sheriff who serves a term of four years. In Delaware County, the sheriff’s office provides security and protection for the Court of Common Pleas as well as serving and enforcing all orders in that court; this includes enforcing injunctions, serving warrants, the service of out-of-county Protection from Abuse Orders (PFA), writs of summons and complaints, subpoenas, and writs of attachment/garnishments. The sheriff and the office’s deputies also provide security and protection for juvenile court, courtroom security, and all prisoner transportation. (We will vote for ONE candidate.)

Siddiq Kamara

Siddiq Kamara is a dedicated public servant with a lifelong commitment to protecting and serving his community. Born in Liberia and raised in Pennsylvania, Mr. Kamara’s journey has been shaped by resilience, service, and leadership. After graduating from Upper Darby High School, he joined the Pennsylvania National Guard, serving on critical missions at home and abroad—including disaster relief in Texas following Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Planning and Management from Immaculata University while simultaneously completing the Police Academy and beginning his career in law enforcement with the Yeadon Police Department. There, he championed diversity and inclusion and established a community relations board to strengthen trust between residents and law enforcement.

Mr. Kamara went on to serve as a Special Agent with the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, where he contributed to major investigations through roles in narcotics, drug strike force, and homeland security task forces. His leadership earned him a place on the executive protective detail for then-Attorney General Josh Shapiro. Today, he continues to serve the Commonwealth as a contractor for the Attorney General’s Office, advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion while supporting both domestic and international investigations. His career reflects a deep-rooted dedication to justice, accountability, and community-centered policing.
